Hello Kitty PKS Face

The Let's Face it Friday challenge at PKS is to use a face on an animal.  I received my Hello Kitty PKS faces a few weeks ago and had to use them! I am trying to limit myself on my HK projects or ALL my cards would have her on them :)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
PKS Let's Face it Friday: Animals with a PKS face
The Paper Variety: Use Twine

Here is my card:

Hello Kitty is crafty incase you didn't know :)  As you can see she loves her Cricut! This sentiment from My Creative Time went perfectly with my idea.  It says "Who needs sleep when you can craft?"

The Cricut is from the Cricut Everyday cart and the bed came from Everyday Paper Dolls. The card base shape is a frame from the Cindy Loo cart.  I hid the inside features and stretched the height to make this shape.  I then welded it with my Gypsy.

If you own the Hello Kitty carts you must get this PKS assortment!  It saved me so much time and it looks perfect!  All you have to do is color the nose.

I couldn't find the right HK image for this card so I got creative.  The head is an existing image on the cart and I found her paws on one of the images and cut them out.  This was tricky because they needed the black shadow so I had to cut those freehand.  Very tricky when these paws are so small!

I heat embossed the sentiment and dry embossed the black background. I added faux stitching, some twine on the side and pop dots.

Recipe:
Peachy Keen Stamps: Hello Kitty face
My Creative Time: Sentiment
Hello Kitty Greetings: Hello Kitty
Everyday Paper Dolls: Bed
Cricut Everyday: Cricut
Cindy Loo: Card Base
Twine: Twinery
Recollections: All card stock

My Favorite Things

Robin of My Pink Stamper is holding a challenge where you can make a project incorporating something that is your favorite.  This may be your favorite style, technique, cart, colors...anything that is your favorite.  So I put together everything I loved about crafting and made my card.

I am entering this card into You Had Me At Craft's Link Party.

Sooo what do you get when you mix craft card stock, SU! supplies, a Gypsy, faux stitching, twine, cute sentiments, a PKS face and embossing??

This cutie right here:

I added glossy accents to the eyes and lips.  The cheeks are created using chalks and a white gel pen.

My biggest obsession is my Gypsy.  This sentiment explains exactly how I feel! I really don't know what I would do without my Gypsy!

This is now my all time favorite card! I hope you guys enjoy it!

I loved this card so much that I even made a video!

Recipe:

Plantin SchoolBook: Heart- cut at 5.20" in height welded together for the base.  I also cut a separate layer at the same measurement for the front of the card so that it covers the fold of the card.  The pink layer was cut at 4.72" in height.
Cricut Everyday: Gypsy at 1.82"
Twinery: Pink Sorbet twine
Provo Craft: Cuttle Bug Polka Dot folder
PKS: Face from the Princess 1 1/8ths set
My Creative Time: Sentiment- My Favorite Sayings
SU!: Chalks, Crumb Cake card stock, black embossing powder, embossing buddy
Recollections: Light pink paper
