Birthday Sundaes Challenge #48

Our challenge for this week is to create a card with an animal on it.

Our Sponsor is Just Wordz!  The winner will win the Party Time stamp set, so make sure to play along.

I have had the Four Legged Friends for a while but have only used it once.  I went to take a look at it and found that all the animals are adorable on this cart!  This pup stood out to me because it looks like my BFF's dog.

Here is my card:
The card base is from the Wildcard cart.  The papers are SU! and DCWV.

I added a little twine collar and a twine bow at the top of the card.  The white punch is the Modern Label punch from SU! and the pink shape behind it was created using an EK Success punch. You can see how I created it right here.

I can't wait to see your birthday card! Make sure to visit the Birthday Sundaes DT right here for more inspiration.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge# 29

This week the challenge is to make a card using ribbon. We have an awesome prize for you this week!  It is a stamp set from My Craft Spot!  Make sure to visit the DT to get more inspiration and enter your card here.

I was so happy to get to craft this week! I have been swamped with work lately getting ready for conferences.  Thank goodness I have a vacation coming up soon...which hopefully will mean a whole lot of crafting time.

Here is my card:

I love the Rock Princess cart.  I especially love flowers on it! I have been wanting to use this strawberry image for a long, long time.  It was just waiting for the right card.  I love how it turned out!

This is my first time using Liquid Pearls!  Samantha (on the Birthday Sundaes DT) uses Liquid Pearls and I fell in love with the look, so I had to get some.  It took me over a month to finally find them at Michael's in this color.  The search was well worth it, the pearls were perfect for this card!

I added tons of pop dots to the strawberry and the flowers dimension.

This gorgeous paper in the background is from a new stack I just found at Michael's called French Country.  It has just the right amount of sparkle.  The ribbon and craft cardstock are from SU!

Twilight Card

Casual Fridays is holding a really fun challenge!  The challenge is to create a simple project based on a book, using the colors red, black, and white.  As soon as I saw the colors I instantly thought of one of my favorites- Twilight!!!

Here is my card.  It's suppose to be Edward (see his messy hair?) and he is holding an apple like on the cover of Twilight.

I first cut him out using white paper, then I quickly scrapped that one when I realized I had pearlized paper so that he could be dazzling!!! My husband had a good laugh at that one LOL! I'm still proud that I thought of that :)

I folded his arms to hold the apple and added pop dots for dimension.

I hope you like it :)

Berries for the Teacher

When most people think of school, they think of apples, I know I always did.  That was until last year.  One day one of my students, I will call him David, came to class and said he had something for me in his backpack.  I never would have expected his gift!  It was a little basket of strawberries!!!!  He had heard me saying that I loved strawberries and while he was out shopping with his mom, he asked if he could bring his teacher some strawberries.

At our school, gifts are not common because of the economic situation in our area.  Knowing that David cared enough about me to want to bring me a gift was more than enough, but to bring me my favorite fruit??? It was one of the kindest things I have ever seen.

So here is my card to remember this "berry" special day :)

Here is a side view.  I heat embossed the sentiment and dry embossed the background.

I added glossy accents to his eyes and to the strawberry to make it look all juicy!

I added stitching, twine, and pop dots for dimension.

This sentiment is from My Creative Time's 9th release.  The whole release is a must have!  Emma has such cute stamps but this release is the most versatile because it has a sentiment for pretty much any occasion and holiday.

I am so happy with how this card came out.  I don't think I will ever let this card go :)

Buggy Apple

This is a back to school project.  I am a teacher so when I think of school, I think of seeing my friends again and how we help each other out.

When I graduated my mother in law gave me a tape holder with a worm sticking out of an apple! Inspiration central!! I made my card and was ready to post it yesterday, but I forgot my camera at work so I couldn't :( Then today I had it all ready just to find out that blogger was down:( I was so happy to finally be able to post it!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Here is my card:

This helpful little worm will come out whenever you need help:)

OMG! Look at this cute wormy face! I added glossy accents to her eyes and they look all juicy!

Here is a side view.  I faux stitched it all around, embossed the background with a polka dot folder and heat embossed the sentiment.

I finished it up by adding a twine bow and some pop dots for dimension.

Hello Sunshine!

I got totally inspired by Cyndy at Arcy Scraps yesterday, when she made a magical spinner transforming card! It was too cute! I had wanted to make a card with a sun for a challenge, and it turns out that challenge was already over :( But I still wanted to work with a sun.  So at 2 a.m. I thought about this card and got up to make it! I'm going to miss being able to do that when I'm back to work!!

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Challenge #56-Peachy Keen Stamps Tuesday Sketch
Summer Fun Challenge at Die Cuttin Divas
Fun in the Sun Challenge #44 at More Than Favors-Wacky Wednesday
Challenge #100-Anything in the sky at Paper Cutz

So here is my creation. (I cannot believe this cut was hiding in Wild Card this whole time!!)

In order to change the faces you just spin the tab on the side on the right and voila!

I didn't tell my husband about the little transformation trick and I changed the face every time he walked by! He thought he was imagining things :)

This princess assortment from Peachy Keen was too cute not to use!

Here is a side view.  I added two layers of pop dots to really make the sun pop.

This is a greeting from the This and That stamp set from Emma's My Creative Time.  I love this font!!

Thank Ewe

Hello! Today I made this card using Create a Critter and Wild Card.  The font is from the Martha Stewart Birthday Cake Art cart.  I LOVE this font! It cuts well at a pretty small size, this was at less than an inch, about .60, and I didn't have any problems with tearing.

The ribbon is from SU! clearance rack.  It was around $7 originally and I think I got it for $2.99.
I also embossed the pink background with the Perfect Polka Dot folder.

I am entering this card in the Cricut 360 Challenge #2- Thank you cards,  morethanfavors challenge using Wildcard and diecuttindivas challenge-22  Head over to these sites, they have great work that will inspire you!

Can I just say that I am getting a little obsessed with challenges?!  I love challenges because they get me to use more of my carts (which justifies me buying more..) and I have so much fun planning and making my cards! I hope you guys like it:)
