I love a good punny challenge! That is our theme over at Krafty Girls so make sure to join us and link up! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used supplies that purchased a while back but didn't had a chance to use till now. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVFj_Uv6PqbtFoTSpKx3tpAbkFUxpHD1WC9BkCP_VOmzyEFaf_iYLb3c7C5s3v6aNgmMjYqOct0D3j3nW1B-qz1F8CkKh4i1c_YXPJyU3lrofYW60ry0ivYIH2kE9aXOoLdljbG_d_OaY/s1600/IMG_8199.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVFj_Uv6PqbtFoTSpKx3tpAbkFUxpHD1WC9BkCP_VOmzyEFaf_iYLb3c7C5s3v6aNgmMjYqOct0D3j3nW1B-qz1F8CkKh4i1c_YXPJyU3lrofYW60ry0ivYIH2kE9aXOoLdljbG_d_OaY/s320/IMG_8199.JPG" height="331" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The little bulb is from My Creative Time. The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps. I love little cards like these! I usually make shaped cards so it's a big challenge for me to make a regularly shaped card. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All my papers were from SU! and Recollections.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

The original idea was to put a game controller in his hand, but it was too small and it wouldn't cut out cleanly. So I decided to put a birthday hat on him instead.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuK6U_LfbZV8VMW82W_48nxaS68zHkU7Quwu3B9dr2ru8j1Me8RKxuuXPK8oK5Khw1GKvlpzby8QDChmGTLIoXuvxD7OQyjH4apob_mqLSfb57cJwn1qOvKIq6obNHBahamyGYYLCEJu0/s1600/IMG_8110.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuK6U_LfbZV8VMW82W_48nxaS68zHkU7Quwu3B9dr2ru8j1Me8RKxuuXPK8oK5Khw1GKvlpzby8QDChmGTLIoXuvxD7OQyjH4apob_mqLSfb57cJwn1qOvKIq6obNHBahamyGYYLCEJu0/s1600/IMG_8110.jpg" height="640" width="590" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am really loving the Create a Friend cartridge! You can find a cute boy or girl cut without a problem on this cart! The card base is from Elegant Edges.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcyqSegrHO97pXTWSONuUkDxA21R19HVkDTnmOaEuSulQiiN4cVdnf1CeVS9wMSvEyAKr6ui1vm_GDN7wh_B-1Z4yXUZxVP8cb99tMVzWzbhbeRY6VUj_kvuFE06H-8p-Tw5WTnRKkqOI/s1600/IMG_8115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcyqSegrHO97pXTWSONuUkDxA21R19HVkDTnmOaEuSulQiiN4cVdnf1CeVS9wMSvEyAKr6ui1vm_GDN7wh_B-1Z4yXUZxVP8cb99tMVzWzbhbeRY6VUj_kvuFE06H-8p-Tw5WTnRKkqOI/s1600/IMG_8115.JPG" height="332" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This card measures about 5.5"X5.5." The face I used is from the Boy Mates Assortment from PKS. The papers I used are from SU! and Recollections.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My brother really liked it, even without the game controller :)<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
By the way, did you hear that Krafty Girls is back for this summer? If you have any paper craft where a face is used, you can link up! Make sure you stop by and check out the current challenge and meet the DT.<br />

It's ended up turning into a summer challenge blog due to our schedules during the school year. We decided to bring it back this summer and we cannot wait to have everyone participate in the challenges!<br />
<br />
The first one is happening this Wednesday! Meanwhile, stop by the <a href="http://www.kraftygirls.blogspot.com/">Krafty Girls</a> blog and meet the DT!<br />
<br />
See you Wednesday!<br />
<br />Maribelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00092161478294935108noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1869184674436184650.post-68704034686904523952013-09-02T01:27:00.004-07:002013-09-02T01:27:49.468-07:00I'm Still Here!Believe it or not, I'm still here and I'm still loving my Cricut :) I'm back teaching again and I've been crafting, but in different ways.<br />
<br />
I've been wanting to use vinyl for a while and I finally was brave enough for try it out! Here are some things I made using some vinyl from Joann's. This stuff is super cheap and you can use a coupon to buy it too.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This first one is for my students. It hangs above the sharpened pencils and they can take a quick look in the mirror while they switch their dull pencil for a fresh one. And if you "mustache"...no, they don't stand by the mirror all day long :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRyyvZ4HyAvHYUEmyVOupiBXLvhlIVRZjc9hQYkqlyma8xY3yaQvlo9vNsok_c9wXwImXJUx4wqCcgCxG1ZAWqzSwwdZQBHbwmf3tUzlqoeokiRNhNzIqQR8c69r81YYYXucHAV4AwuHI/s1600/IMG_6368.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRyyvZ4HyAvHYUEmyVOupiBXLvhlIVRZjc9hQYkqlyma8xY3yaQvlo9vNsok_c9wXwImXJUx4wqCcgCxG1ZAWqzSwwdZQBHbwmf3tUzlqoeokiRNhNzIqQR8c69r81YYYXucHAV4AwuHI/s640/IMG_6368.jpg" width="443" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up is my personalized water bottle. I've been wanting to do this for a while and I love it! Now to figure out how I'm going to get vinyl on all my possessions??</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaMyVHrRkpu2bCOmZPPwWbtUJx7C4NbCKwmGbIuFtH0IW6ZE3WR923tX8PM8qkKWfpV7T9Brtwxi67bLKDb1RnkTndwGjQaodUsOuV71HmUiBQuldRh302pFBrkvqF8rVT_JB0qAv0wCA/s1600/IMG_6377.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaMyVHrRkpu2bCOmZPPwWbtUJx7C4NbCKwmGbIuFtH0IW6ZE3WR923tX8PM8qkKWfpV7T9Brtwxi67bLKDb1RnkTndwGjQaodUsOuV71HmUiBQuldRh302pFBrkvqF8rVT_JB0qAv0wCA/s640/IMG_6377.jpg" width="364" /></a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This one is my favorite! I got this <strike>white</strike> pink board from Walmart for around $4 and made a reminders board. This keeps me from forgetting messages or anything else important throughout the day. Do you see those cute flowers? They are magnetic and I made them with my Big Shot! They look way better than store bought magnets.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX8-Glu_mc6s5n1VZ9FBgCuoZTgGNcadK4sjFJsRwvc_ZqkIzAZ5cM2p0X-aihmQEVv_7uq3opbFnd0VEjvbCJa-xBBxS5UWuSdxcZM0vMtiVnUVO5AyiCuy_psFwLDOH4gWXoaYCNTK0/s1600/IMG_6382.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX8-Glu_mc6s5n1VZ9FBgCuoZTgGNcadK4sjFJsRwvc_ZqkIzAZ5cM2p0X-aihmQEVv_7uq3opbFnd0VEjvbCJa-xBBxS5UWuSdxcZM0vMtiVnUVO5AyiCuy_psFwLDOH4gWXoaYCNTK0/s640/IMG_6382.jpg" width="442" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Speaking of those flowers...I made some in pink too! I use them to hold up notes, charts, posters or anything else. Love them!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1ZoxB00C0G82fICLoqOJCVYBa16QYAXvpU2537wMMfYdmj5FDIKEep1mkEXSV99i9JC36mes4PHRDNKF_0hozgjDAodWPESK5bUY-cdtAuIxceURHoGfDresvEbPFZlAcLESJjOzE6kY/s1600/IMG_6332.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1ZoxB00C0G82fICLoqOJCVYBa16QYAXvpU2537wMMfYdmj5FDIKEep1mkEXSV99i9JC36mes4PHRDNKF_0hozgjDAodWPESK5bUY-cdtAuIxceURHoGfDresvEbPFZlAcLESJjOzE6kY/s640/IMG_6332.jpg" width="542" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Being crafty sure does help in the classroom! I also made some organizational bins for myself. They have been a huge help in my fight against clutter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are daily drawers. I put my lessons plans and copies in them. This way I know where everything is and I'm not running around looking for my materials last minute. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihwrglz-Yy3aQ1uLYDC3xyU8rnBdT5uIS3NUHayX325_gdfdp7HvEK3mZUzAE1H8HSi14fmxdsgkxagopBqsvcdjFhkI9icCnmL6-hUuDMHs9LhNoRHf2EohqbMeKVVvG9yxkk1N7Km-Q/s1600/photo-4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihwrglz-Yy3aQ1uLYDC3xyU8rnBdT5uIS3NUHayX325_gdfdp7HvEK3mZUzAE1H8HSi14fmxdsgkxagopBqsvcdjFhkI9icCnmL6-hUuDMHs9LhNoRHf2EohqbMeKVVvG9yxkk1N7Km-Q/s400/photo-4.JPG" width="303" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These are my "to do drawers." These are so stinkin' cute! These go right on my desk and prevent my area from being taken over by paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrtbtteTGDHUHi2Xr4Iwogbw2W_WbPgEIvtDkDYJhQOUaknR14J3vDFyo7CPv6B8Gl4xMrhU55Mjzsk6Y1tCcNMfujooGDn1IE-o9kNQU4FprdO9ogLZ96Vhxxdc_D8w3V0LL9ELH8GUs/s1600/IMG_6351.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="292" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrtbtteTGDHUHi2Xr4Iwogbw2W_WbPgEIvtDkDYJhQOUaknR14J3vDFyo7CPv6B8Gl4xMrhU55Mjzsk6Y1tCcNMfujooGDn1IE-o9kNQU4FprdO9ogLZ96Vhxxdc_D8w3V0LL9ELH8GUs/s320/IMG_6351.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Finally, this is what got me started on my organizational journey. If you are a teacher, you know about the teacher toolbox craze that has been going on for the past couple of years! I finally made one with my owl theme. I use this to place random stuff so I'm not searching my whole desk for little things. This has made my life so much easier!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT4Be-Cd_cxRGnQ5bM-QODpZ-ce46y80jsWK4S8NGSYpdgw9zVckOH7-yfa923BKZLAputCtoK9YusoNZA29RwzjFbntugweQ-SFJtw9pGFECW1SnE21TIOZBbx75mLj4G1sVQ1G9QJ14/s1600/IMG_6202.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT4Be-Cd_cxRGnQ5bM-QODpZ-ce46y80jsWK4S8NGSYpdgw9zVckOH7-yfa923BKZLAputCtoK9YusoNZA29RwzjFbntugweQ-SFJtw9pGFECW1SnE21TIOZBbx75mLj4G1sVQ1G9QJ14/s320/IMG_6202.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, I have been crafting, just not the kind of crafting I typically do. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On a purely crafty note...I just received what may officially be my FAVORITE cartridge ever in the mail today. The "Create a Friend" cart!!! This thing is beyond cute. I can't wait to use it! Hoping to get something made with it soon! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, I hope you are all getting lots of rest this Labor Day Weekend! Thanks for visiting!</div>

for the summer :( Jennifer and I are going to grad school full time
and we are returning to work soon, so that sadly means that we will have
much less time to have fun and craft! But we will still be around and
craft as often as we can.<br />
<br />
This week it is a super easy
and fun favorite, anything goes! Plus, we are giving away a cute prize
for the top project for this week.<br />
<br />
This week my
mother-in-law (Fran) and I got together to make some invitations for my
sister-in-law's baby shower. I showed Fran some ideas and she liked
this the best:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg5RozZzX6Lujv3UiidW5E-5O-rV9D0TvhrizvsSdjaFN1L738LjHhnLqJbDrdCjDqeddiFsj7QQ6zkOLo2AkxymAcwE5QCCeVPiiFcTsK3gMHN1AQBUMEMxjORkQsaXT8DNaovmESkYq5/s1600/Baby+shower.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg5RozZzX6Lujv3UiidW5E-5O-rV9D0TvhrizvsSdjaFN1L738LjHhnLqJbDrdCjDqeddiFsj7QQ6zkOLo2AkxymAcwE5QCCeVPiiFcTsK3gMHN1AQBUMEMxjORkQsaXT8DNaovmESkYq5/s640/Baby+shower.jpg" width="460" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She
was hands on the whole time! We had a lot of fun crafting together.
Guess what? She even picked up a card making magazine recently and has
been eyeing some craftrooms. She will even be taking some scrappy
classes from me and she is going to learn how to use her Cricut:) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-ZpMA090S70Uiqds4zLhMab7BINkqbbTk3oiqlhsAl5D8jK-5-tQB2S6lTOUferChavGzu_BNBnhNBRoB5MKcVNt3vV5w1Yjsin0Lg1a3b3OI6oRqwKUhE9MqVXGtLJ6xxBVH6ysTB5Wp/s1600/Invites.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-ZpMA090S70Uiqds4zLhMab7BINkqbbTk3oiqlhsAl5D8jK-5-tQB2S6lTOUferChavGzu_BNBnhNBRoB5MKcVNt3vV5w1Yjsin0Lg1a3b3OI6oRqwKUhE9MqVXGtLJ6xxBVH6ysTB5Wp/s400/Invites.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Funny
side story...someone mentioned the term "vintage baby" and I told Fran
about how we can "vintage" these invites. She was all for it. Well..we
had to ink every single element of these invites, plus we had a couple
of inserts that we were sending out as well that needed to be inked.
Fran will NEVER look at ink the same way! All in all, we had a great
time and she was so proud that she made these. I have to give her
credit, she did tons of the work and was never intimidated by it all.
She is a natural crafter I think. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

This week we are to make a paper craft using a die cut. Super easy!<br />
<br />
This is my card:<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFlX6gUWjf6YdITMmmvSqgl-zuw-hWZkajYOb592leDNYlwzQJQMB7snkBo6hTxZJyKKVM8ipeJT9YrC0POOkA4FS5KJfr96iSlaW_EB6igJNN2zNBoaKKe6wCRGbsvF7G1btejnJqCGI/s1600/Art+Nouveau+Dafodil.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFlX6gUWjf6YdITMmmvSqgl-zuw-hWZkajYOb592leDNYlwzQJQMB7snkBo6hTxZJyKKVM8ipeJT9YrC0POOkA4FS5KJfr96iSlaW_EB6igJNN2zNBoaKKe6wCRGbsvF7G1btejnJqCGI/s640/Art+Nouveau+Dafodil.jpg" width="616" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

Krafty Girls ChallengeMint is such a fun color! I love the way it pops with different color combos. Our challenge this week at <a href="http://www.kraftygirls.com/">Krafty Girls</a> is to use the color mint on your paper craft. <br />
<br />
This is what I came up with:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSaSp0r3R9WzxAOS5LKL0YTEFv49Z2-UY2L5eUnr8XWpR-3kncxdIt0NJo8R-9oJ5qtG7GFInk9A8aHvSQGxM94RzXVoUWQRlCyEY-BkZk5nV4KscwAWk759Kmb7FGSt-IVQ3gramt33I/s1600/Botanicals+Cricut+Card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSaSp0r3R9WzxAOS5LKL0YTEFv49Z2-UY2L5eUnr8XWpR-3kncxdIt0NJo8R-9oJ5qtG7GFInk9A8aHvSQGxM94RzXVoUWQRlCyEY-BkZk5nV4KscwAWk759Kmb7FGSt-IVQ3gramt33I/s640/Botanicals+Cricut+Card.JPG" width="610" /></a></div>
Can I tell you that I am nuts about this card? I love how the mint looks with the black! It has more of a blueish tone to it in pictures, but it is more green in real life. <br />
<br />
The heart is from Victorian Romance, I welded two hearts to create the card base. The flower silhouette is from the Botanicals cartridge.<br />
<br />

I'm having lots of fun with this Art Nouveau cartridge! I was looking through my stash of cards and realized I need sympathy cards. I have the most difficult time thinking of sympathy card designs but this one came to me pretty quickly and I love how it turned out!<br />

The idea for this card was in my head for over a year! <br />
<br />
Here is some background info on my card. This card was inspired by my dad. He loves music, I remember hearing music (loud music) in my house EVERY DAY while I was growing up. My mom loved music and my dad loved to make music. (He actually serenaded her for weeks to convince her to date him! Where did those days go???) So, my dad went through and era where he thought he was John Travolta and Elvis at the same time! So he would sing and dance. It was quite the entertaining house! My dad, my brother and I would perform songs together and we would sit by the radio scouting the next song we would learn to sing. This is probably why I have a serious appreciation for music, any kind, anywhere.<br />
<br />
Well, this year my mom called me and said that my dad needed a new guitar and that he wasn't ever going to buy himself a nice one, so we began scheming a way to surprise him with a new guitar. Our plan was to make him think we just got him a guitar case and I was so happy to surprise him with it...the only problem was that when my husband and I gave it to him this Father's Day, he said "it comes with a case!" Yep... my mom let the cat out of the bag. Actually, according to my dad, the cat never even got into the bag. Oh well, he was still very excited to get his new guitar and he played us a little something at the restaurant!!! It was a great Father's Day.<br />
<br />
So here is my dad's card. It features one of his greatest idols and it turned out so cute!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6qSXxTwrFp2wB8lCnxbBKr0fVW0ujVzvGOgh0RLLBj55P_U7YMhIv93aYe1Bmov2dCc9ic-O0hzsklKSuuiXM5bRGTCG4xJlXlup5KcPYwjVYIjx8Q63wHcoyjZ5irEkcaySTvK2FksI/s1600/IMG_6158.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="383" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6qSXxTwrFp2wB8lCnxbBKr0fVW0ujVzvGOgh0RLLBj55P_U7YMhIv93aYe1Bmov2dCc9ic-O0hzsklKSuuiXM5bRGTCG4xJlXlup5KcPYwjVYIjx8Q63wHcoyjZ5irEkcaySTvK2FksI/s400/IMG_6158.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My dad is the BEST dad I could have hoped for. He taught me so much and he is just such a good, kind, and giving human being. I am so lucky to be his daughter! So thank you Dad, thank you very much!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I paper pieced Elvis using various papers. He was suppose to have some of his red cape showing but it didn't fit on the card and I had to chop it off :( I added some rhinestones to his jumpsuit for some extra detail. The papers are from SU! and Michaels. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

In the recent months I have been in need of thank you, wedding, and birthday cards so I decided to start making a stash of them this summer.<br />
<br />
Here is my card:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDipbjRmejIrXnb6HGaiMwsjAVVs9qWD79uw13CuLX_YYIRc-paE-3zX5nWu7qno-7UgoRPidNqUCGduXgNB4T9gS6bZk7DH0vRrY6rLyTB_VaGhoX12BMJUMCDQZLXpOuxgQ8fqpJq88/s1600/Cricut+Art+Nouveau+Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDipbjRmejIrXnb6HGaiMwsjAVVs9qWD79uw13CuLX_YYIRc-paE-3zX5nWu7qno-7UgoRPidNqUCGduXgNB4T9gS6bZk7DH0vRrY6rLyTB_VaGhoX12BMJUMCDQZLXpOuxgQ8fqpJq88/s640/Cricut+Art+Nouveau+Card.jpg" width="496" /></a></div>
To make this card I used my {neglected} Gypsy to create the card base. The outter shape is from Close to My Heart Art Philosophy. I welded it to create my card base. The flower is from my new favorite cartridge called Art Nouveau. I bought this cartridge when it first came out but I wasn't able to use it till now. I'm in love! Every cut is GORGEOUS! It's a must have.<br />
<br />

<br />
This is what I came up with:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSfOzHz79Za5io5W17M5KKOvNh36NDgUfubuQZckwBhzIbuVU609pWc5hPUe1i3tuWY6Q-UVcqZYNV5J8j7CJh8WVMMmEkJrR6I4iayu6HcDttAv4t3ZYmygILi7X9zjvA3uwTFXspsVo/s1600/IMG_5970.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSfOzHz79Za5io5W17M5KKOvNh36NDgUfubuQZckwBhzIbuVU609pWc5hPUe1i3tuWY6Q-UVcqZYNV5J8j7CJh8WVMMmEkJrR6I4iayu6HcDttAv4t3ZYmygILi7X9zjvA3uwTFXspsVo/s640/IMG_5970.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
I created this card using scraps that I had in my bins. I
used a SU! punch to cut out the flowers and used some pattern paper to
back them. The stamp is from My Creative Time from the Gift Card Sentiments set. The pearls and the punch for the sentiment are also from SU! This was a fast one to make! It took me about 10 minutes tops, which is refreshing because I tend to spend over 5 hours to make one card. <br />
<br />
Here is a sideview:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh175J8uaa8-cXJDMPlhhqs0bM2ptXOCzVN6z6uSUhZOlUp9t53NR_-PHV0rEyOOm2tMB-HSqx4PMCSbvlruCXZQoCcyUepiYGl6U172zAnJ7g13N8CO4risQs-rLyAwbCjSfS1-T1rhBA/s1600/IMG_5968.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="325" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh175J8uaa8-cXJDMPlhhqs0bM2ptXOCzVN6z6uSUhZOlUp9t53NR_-PHV0rEyOOm2tMB-HSqx4PMCSbvlruCXZQoCcyUepiYGl6U172zAnJ7g13N8CO4risQs-rLyAwbCjSfS1-T1rhBA/s400/IMG_5968.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added some pop dots to the sentiment for dimension. I'm happy with how it turned out.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now to get back to planning for class. We only have four more days of school left! I'm looking forward to my vacation big time!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!</div>

I wanted to make some thank you cards and I was looking through my goodies and found my "Perfectly Preserved" stamp set and die cuts from SU! that I hadn't used. Well...I had to use them of course! So this is what I came up with:<br />

My first and probably last one ever! It's fun but tons of work.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I decided to make her invitations. After all, this baby is going to be my godson so this has to be special :) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are the invitations:<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg43lWojLFeL2eR806Pe76mc-riZ0JSw0JdmKVzTLtfVnf5ee-vel7tbfxMWmPflDhnLW0vBrfZV7gLl90z9wAAFSJut6zXJbNqVRwUxUrYxmSdfjJHX0iTnY54MwNpS3cmwksuQu4u03c/s1600/IMG_4314.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg43lWojLFeL2eR806Pe76mc-riZ0JSw0JdmKVzTLtfVnf5ee-vel7tbfxMWmPflDhnLW0vBrfZV7gLl90z9wAAFSJut6zXJbNqVRwUxUrYxmSdfjJHX0iTnY54MwNpS3cmwksuQu4u03c/s400/IMG_4314.jpg" width="297" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I chose the criss cross card because it looks cute but it's easy to reproduce. I had to make over 30 of these!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikyv2By2Uva2xwQgxkcjdKNOYnF9C5CgnUfzrhrjnAJBi2ZM1Mej2xf1LM3EPpaoXlly5gSAkisUHErwgYDENySlAKy2OZ8UzpzEGkt6LzWJFHtYEWHOddyWMb0oHH_cgfxKjVH5mzVFI/s1600/IMG_4318.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikyv2By2Uva2xwQgxkcjdKNOYnF9C5CgnUfzrhrjnAJBi2ZM1Mej2xf1LM3EPpaoXlly5gSAkisUHErwgYDENySlAKy2OZ8UzpzEGkt6LzWJFHtYEWHOddyWMb0oHH_cgfxKjVH5mzVFI/s400/IMG_4318.JPG" width="368" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decorated the outside of the envelopes with the stamps from the stamp set. I got this set from Joann's, I believe it's made by Fiskars.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are most of them. The rest were with the future mommy. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think my favorite part of the whole card was painting the stork and baby. I've never tried my water brush till now and it was so easy to use and it looked beautiful!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've missed blogging and crafting! I've got to get into my craft room more often. Things have been crazy busy but they are slowing down now so I should have more time on my hands soon:)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for visiting!</div>

<br />
My classroom theme ended up being owls somehow. It started with a small side project and it exploded all over my room :)<br />
<br />
This Box Tops holder was my first project with owls and it's been my favorite. I used Hoot n' Holler for all these projects.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLv0BQtvuVdM0sp0fqAbj7_Bv12cXO4DMd-7BlwHpz29lWQXW6CTJOz0OB_x7nEAdxDl6KU3dLHebDoHh7ae12hRpOaG_6Oy9OHIEBUjyrWrCnt3lpnw4VnbOOqkFYS8w4ClOqBWFjob0/s1600/100_4727.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLv0BQtvuVdM0sp0fqAbj7_Bv12cXO4DMd-7BlwHpz29lWQXW6CTJOz0OB_x7nEAdxDl6KU3dLHebDoHh7ae12hRpOaG_6Oy9OHIEBUjyrWrCnt3lpnw4VnbOOqkFYS8w4ClOqBWFjob0/s400/100_4727.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These book bins have come in handy in my classroom as well. This first one is a book hospital. When my students find a book that is in need of repair, they put it in here instead of running to me to fix it at that moment. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHFgU54dQ1YopLSC-Q9h8h8GBRWgiFx296BaDEZXgLAgd0rjmBk-RVDhP9AaaHbT9triH0aKiYEs-FeehawFM5x6nzVWeR1f3jOzi-TqCpl1vOh5u_g5LZUoQ8LYlTDkUVtrKND_PSDoY/s1600/100_4812.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="321" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHFgU54dQ1YopLSC-Q9h8h8GBRWgiFx296BaDEZXgLAgd0rjmBk-RVDhP9AaaHbT9triH0aKiYEs-FeehawFM5x6nzVWeR1f3jOzi-TqCpl1vOh5u_g5LZUoQ8LYlTDkUVtrKND_PSDoY/s400/100_4812.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also needed a bin where I could put the books I'm planning on reading within the week. This keeps the books from being misplaced and I can find them the moment I need them. I can't tell you how many times I've been running around the classroom looking for books!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2cz0a6-BGIEEigDxV9uiF9-4JW0KH_fYjvbI2VS9OWYurZ3P3S0IJrA3n0Ahu6uZmyhuR8Ul1c0AwS1Vs9WLQCxrcyWRknU0LAy-OUmxKMsxFC5BzzVDG3mfs18JlVlBGwCZMHQKEFi4/s1600/100_4991.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2cz0a6-BGIEEigDxV9uiF9-4JW0KH_fYjvbI2VS9OWYurZ3P3S0IJrA3n0Ahu6uZmyhuR8Ul1c0AwS1Vs9WLQCxrcyWRknU0LAy-OUmxKMsxFC5BzzVDG3mfs18JlVlBGwCZMHQKEFi4/s400/100_4991.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I even made an objectives board with my Cricut! These objectives are what we are focussing on learning for the day or week. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8h9EQriBw2DWxfTXf1U1aN8S4kw0E8XyoyYBmWJcWozYiUBml90OonwHA-HZvi9xbhZ4-IPL30UbTJmzEBDBXu0avLBPfsP4V-u3kh-hGBz8bdoOSVxjb4AnW7U6C2jdqNGM23QN0xrg/s1600/100_4884.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="348" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8h9EQriBw2DWxfTXf1U1aN8S4kw0E8XyoyYBmWJcWozYiUBml90OonwHA-HZvi9xbhZ4-IPL30UbTJmzEBDBXu0avLBPfsP4V-u3kh-hGBz8bdoOSVxjb4AnW7U6C2jdqNGM23QN0xrg/s400/100_4884.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found this compliment jar idea on Pinterest. I cut the jar from "From My Kitchen" and the stars were from "Create a Critter." Any time my class earns a compliment from someone for being quiet, or walking in line nicely etc... they earn a star. I had to add some cuteness with these PKS faces. They are from the Princess Assortment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrA8KgDdokl10o4Pz8lMtjaLcDAzZmT51itWhdyQcWJ6QScuXzZBowZRrknxn1b84E3uJPu7wGDp_4VPF8gYrA7qAJJ7QaF3i7X_cMZPQo4HcIyIOL3ZzFF_f5q-Kb2HPC7YTKsOmWrtQ/s1600/100_4886.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrA8KgDdokl10o4Pz8lMtjaLcDAzZmT51itWhdyQcWJ6QScuXzZBowZRrknxn1b84E3uJPu7wGDp_4VPF8gYrA7qAJJ7QaF3i7X_cMZPQo4HcIyIOL3ZzFF_f5q-Kb2HPC7YTKsOmWrtQ/s400/100_4886.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I needed some table number signs for my classroom and decided to use my Rosette Die from SU! This was perfect! So easy and they add so much to my room.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVu6VFI9TfbNgGluzNet7P4OaUWGm3Zo7FfY3eeECt2ASKeRM9IcNXEXxnw2ebWLme_-7pQjwIqAXx-Re7MjJ4f86TvXDjd3V5zvfwBkl5IgC-86OatZqSAZ2TO2CTp0ot_bEhumvd0us/s1600/100_4768.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVu6VFI9TfbNgGluzNet7P4OaUWGm3Zo7FfY3eeECt2ASKeRM9IcNXEXxnw2ebWLme_-7pQjwIqAXx-Re7MjJ4f86TvXDjd3V5zvfwBkl5IgC-86OatZqSAZ2TO2CTp0ot_bEhumvd0us/s320/100_4768.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, that's it for my classroom, I think...I will be back with some pictures of some baby shower invites I made for my BFF.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It's been a while since I've been on here! Life has gotten crazy lately and it's left me with little time to craft :(<br />
<br />
We are back today with a Krafty Girls challenge titled: So Punny! Your challenge is to create a paper craft with a pun on it. Easy and fun!<br />
<br />
I found this retired SU! set at a craft fair and had to use it with my new milk carton die.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIOcHOgXLrywl4Qwejj9aQWSKvuVqGwryxfXxzsPzy7qbi2H8gdLq21ns4rTzGYIHosf8qFn2VcuRZYvOAWa_oHEOKMfWK-OfNFDdSygsR-lDKuXO4P30AjXY531NAA5FbhdgRiOVfrzU/s1600/100_4866.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIOcHOgXLrywl4Qwejj9aQWSKvuVqGwryxfXxzsPzy7qbi2H8gdLq21ns4rTzGYIHosf8qFn2VcuRZYvOAWa_oHEOKMfWK-OfNFDdSygsR-lDKuXO4P30AjXY531NAA5FbhdgRiOVfrzU/s320/100_4866.JPG" width="217" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOOGMu_2fXiFtD_0CxqVDPBI3BmGa5jt9VSLrA-N9HaaOR7HWhI8RKlPBOy1dp46BXOC2cAH6MUEU229iQDMrktY8d0R9Ov8v1UrbNL5teKW0dYnIh52jHGgw93lr2ii6ISx-8wGjRLqk/s1600/100_4863.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOOGMu_2fXiFtD_0CxqVDPBI3BmGa5jt9VSLrA-N9HaaOR7HWhI8RKlPBOy1dp46BXOC2cAH6MUEU229iQDMrktY8d0R9Ov8v1UrbNL5teKW0dYnIh52jHGgw93lr2ii6ISx-8wGjRLqk/s320/100_4863.JPG" width="269" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I thought this stamp was so cute and it goes perfectly with this milk carton die! <br />
Today is the start of our newest <a href="http://www.kraftygirls.com/">Krafty Girls </a>challenge. The challenge is to create any 3D craft! <br />
<br />
For my project I had been wanting to play around with this Candy Wrapper die from Stampin' Up. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3vbgXiXbHPcV4pXlZNxrxg1t1MAM8npElp_B1Cupi-Qg5MDnAsJLo1oV_eRQ29G2ENIRKMTZbXHCHnzen5HmJ_zFduYYSSrONjGgUyAFDfk73n26EWvTyffF8swZCLKLSOp8qt49P-y0/s1600/100_4736.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3vbgXiXbHPcV4pXlZNxrxg1t1MAM8npElp_B1Cupi-Qg5MDnAsJLo1oV_eRQ29G2ENIRKMTZbXHCHnzen5HmJ_zFduYYSSrONjGgUyAFDfk73n26EWvTyffF8swZCLKLSOp8qt49P-y0/s400/100_4736.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The twine is from the Twinery and all the other elements used to embellish this wrapper are from SU! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1926Vg1b1XNcXGtF5qIqeCvfrHJhCXe1eoAPoYs8vvIppUJEdtJSf6jfJ61GKX0IaWgNTg4xJT5QVpIGFL0tvVfNGqIO1QU9q1DA63LBF3hZjoMgH2CVTgWJmwybCfX_cuDtb_02_mc8/s1600/100_4737.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="277" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1926Vg1b1XNcXGtF5qIqeCvfrHJhCXe1eoAPoYs8vvIppUJEdtJSf6jfJ61GKX0IaWgNTg4xJT5QVpIGFL0tvVfNGqIO1QU9q1DA63LBF3hZjoMgH2CVTgWJmwybCfX_cuDtb_02_mc8/s400/100_4737.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I love the fact that it only takes a half sheet of cardstock to make. It's something that would be easy to mass produce for favors.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Make sure to visit the DT for more inspiration and show us your 3D project:)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for visiting!</div>Maribelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00092161478294935108noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1869184674436184650.post-88970347740626139602012-07-03T00:36:00.000-07:002012-07-03T00:36:45.367-07:00Thank You NotesDon't you love black and white combos? They make everything to elegant and classy looking! The challenge this time at<a href="http://www.kraftygirls.com/"> Krafty Girls</a> is to create a project using the colors black, white, and a color of your choice.<br />
<br />
During the school year I always seem to run out of thank you notes, and I really want to give my kids handmade thank you's, especially when they have given me something that was really special to them. So I've been working on these thank you's for a few days and here they are!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj78ZKNT0r5yS5e9-Fq3Jbb-4cBkBl_BhxHTaNwxlIx260ksdWqWqDi-qzVRcw44v05EfjH91xE2QqR9rMeWpKx20kZnKvs66Gg9-3L3l3Usrsz_06You3atdl3hVJTrP3IgG1Or-oxYxY/s1600/100_4714.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj78ZKNT0r5yS5e9-Fq3Jbb-4cBkBl_BhxHTaNwxlIx260ksdWqWqDi-qzVRcw44v05EfjH91xE2QqR9rMeWpKx20kZnKvs66Gg9-3L3l3Usrsz_06You3atdl3hVJTrP3IgG1Or-oxYxY/s320/100_4714.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This type writer is from a stamp set from Stampin' Up but it was retired and I missed out on the chance to own it! I went online and I stumbled upon it as a digital stamp set through SU! The best part of this set is that I can now resize it to any size I want and it was a fraction of the price. I added a flower and a rhinestone to add some detail. They were so easy to make and easy to reproduce:)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Make sure to stop by <a href="http://www.kraftygirls.com/">Krafty Girls</a> and check out what the DT has created!</div>Maribelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00092161478294935108noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1869184674436184650.post-17966681058593422892012-06-21T08:00:00.002-07:002012-06-21T16:12:49.800-07:00Automatic FriendsI made a card with this stamp set for the "Fun In The Sun" challenge over at Krafty Girls the other day and when I went to put it away, I saw another sentiment that I thought would be perfect for my BFF <a href="http://www.jennuinecrafts.com/">Jennifer</a>. It's so funny, you know how it takes people a while to become friends? Well...with Jennifer it was a little different. We met about 7 years ago in our first education class. We happened to sit next to each other and the professor said "look at the person next to you, this is your new husband or wife for the remainder of the course." Jennifer and I looked at each other and were like, "uhhhh." This professor was also "psychic" and said that I would be a great teacher one day and that Jennifer would teach nursing school?? What a strange lady! Anyway, Jennifer and I have been friends every since! We became friends automatically and we were so happy that we didn't get paired up with people that wouldn't want to do their share of the work.<br />
<br />
So here is today's card:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIIwAHWzGBax4r-mN-t-xT2exNYJ3-jtWW6eSop3DWJc67BwS1OwbOR21oeBhtqKHlGDxdOhkIIz2_JwQJZlJGvc6HVURKggs0Fdl38RXQUzItfG98c_J8pL0yeaJPm_GGjhWqiDegg3Q/s1600/100_4688.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIIwAHWzGBax4r-mN-t-xT2exNYJ3-jtWW6eSop3DWJc67BwS1OwbOR21oeBhtqKHlGDxdOhkIIz2_JwQJZlJGvc6HVURKggs0Fdl38RXQUzItfG98c_J8pL0yeaJPm_GGjhWqiDegg3Q/s400/100_4688.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The card base is from Twinkle Toes. The twine is from the Twinery. Buttons from Michael's $1 bin.</div><br />

I even tried a new technique, I colored the flowers with my blender pen using the ink from some of my SU! markers. It didn't turn out perfectly but it was fun.</div><br />

</div><div>I don't usually work with sketches, it's one of my weaknesses for sure. When I started thinking of the PKS sketch for this week I came up with an idea. I also incorporated My Creative Time's color challenge into it as well. </div><div><br />
</div><div>Hope you like it!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWiZI-4-gtmCcUAJuTE_rqNLmy88Z-CC8NW-M3-EkIZWDHeTZlQI7C7G5NWfIkG_1PljWLOVMH1wr-9B6Dh2oQgE6dyBLSyrUGRA-Q315alsM8HncaALuEqFh8cW6BYjsTSMJxQoutznE/s1600/100_4678.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="332" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWiZI-4-gtmCcUAJuTE_rqNLmy88Z-CC8NW-M3-EkIZWDHeTZlQI7C7G5NWfIkG_1PljWLOVMH1wr-9B6Dh2oQgE6dyBLSyrUGRA-Q315alsM8HncaALuEqFh8cW6BYjsTSMJxQoutznE/s400/100_4678.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used my PKS Super Simple Eyes and Noses set for Hello Kitty's face. HK is from the Hello Kitty Greetings cart. Have you guys seen this cart is now a fortune on ebay? I'm so glad I got it before it became rare, and I bought it when Michael's had their clearance on carts going on for $10. I should have bought them all :) </div><br />

I picked up this CUTE set that was retired. It was an additional 11% off so I couldn't resist. I arranged the twine to follow the sketch and I tried to make it look like the rain drops were falling from the sky.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
