Thank You, Thank You Very Much!

It's time for a Krafty Girls challenge and I think you will have lots of fun with this one!  The idea for this card was in my head for over a year!

Here is some background info on my card.  This card was inspired by my dad.  He loves music, I remember hearing music (loud music) in my house EVERY DAY while I was growing up.  My mom loved music and my dad loved to make music.  (He actually serenaded her for weeks to convince her to date him!  Where did those days go???) So, my dad went through and era where he thought he was John Travolta and Elvis at the same time!  So he would sing and dance.  It was quite the entertaining house!  My dad, my brother and I would perform songs together and we would sit by the radio scouting the next song we would learn to sing.  This is probably why I have a serious appreciation for music, any kind, anywhere.

Well, this year my mom called me and said that my dad needed a new guitar and that he wasn't ever going to buy himself a nice one, so we began scheming a way to surprise him with a new guitar.  Our plan was to make him think we just got him a guitar case and I was so happy to surprise him with it...the only problem was that when my husband and I gave it to him this Father's Day, he said "it comes with a case!"  Yep... my mom let the cat out of the bag.  Actually, according to my dad, the cat never even got into the bag.  Oh well, he was still very excited to get his new guitar and he played us a little something at the restaurant!!! It was a great Father's Day.

So here is my dad's card.  It features one of his greatest idols and it turned out so cute!
My dad is the BEST dad I could have hoped for.  He taught me so much and he is just such a good, kind, and giving human being.  I am so lucky to be his daughter!  So thank you Dad, thank you very much!

I paper pieced  Elvis using various papers.  He was suppose to have some of his red cape showing but it didn't fit on the card and I had to chop it off :( I added some rhinestones to his jumpsuit for some extra detail.  The papers are from SU! and Michaels.

So now that you know all about my dad, please hop over to visit the Krafty Girls DT and join us with your musically inspired paper craft!  The girls did a terrific job that is sure to inspire!
