Mario Brothers Cake

Today my husband turned 32 and I wanted to make him a special cake.  He loves Nintendo games, so what better than a Mario cake?   It's been a while since I last worked with fondant. I kind of underestimated how long it would take me to get the hang of it.  This took about six hours from start to finish.  I finished it up with seven minutes to spare and then everyone showed up :) Sorry for the picture quality.  I didn't have any time to set it up in a good place to photograph it.

The two figurines are from Toys-R-Us.
I got a good workout making this cake!!
It tasted pretty good!

Thank you for visiting!
