California Dreams

First I would like to thank Amy from Amy's Crafting Space for giving me the Butterfly Award! If you have not been to her blog, you must :) She is awesomely talented! Thank you Amy!!


I had this card in mind for about a week now and finally had some time to sit down and make it.  Can I just say that I LOVE California! I only lived there for a couple of years, but they were some of my happiest years of my childhood.  The cool, clean air (we lived in the wine country), the greeness, the beach, and Disneyland! We never went to Disneyland while we lived there.  We were living in AZ when my parents decided to take us.  It was the best vacation ever! My third trip to Disneyland was when I turned 15.  My parents let me decide between a huge party or a family vacation. Not a hard decision to make :)

So here is my dream...this is my future family on vacation. 

I really do wish I was there!!


I used my PKS faces for the little boy and girl, and part of a face for the mom.



I loved all the layers in this card.  The sentiment was computer generated and punched out with a SU! punch.

    LOVE it! I told my husband that our next trip should be to Disneyland. The last time I went I was 8! That is just waaay too long from Mickey! :) Plus they do stuff like have lunch with the Disney Princesses now! Stuff there never was when I was a kid. Awesome card, love all the layers! :D

    Maribel, this is AMAZING! I just love it. Takes me back to my 5th birthday when we went to Disneyland on the train all the way from Chicago. Now I live in CA. WooHoo! (although it's about an 8 hour drive). Still...I love CA and Disneyland! Hope your dream comes true. xxD

    I tried visiting your blog to leave you a message but I couldn't find anywhere to contact you.

    The ears are just the tops of Mickey's head. That cut can be found on the Mickey and Friends cart. I made two large ones and two small ones and trimmed them to fit each character.
