Princess Tomato in Salad Kingdom

The challenge this week at Peachy Keen is to make a punny card using their faces. When I was looking at my sentiments, I saw one that said "Ketchup with you soon!" Right away I thought of a tomato with a cute face on it.  After I made the tomato my husband said she looked like Princess Tomato in Salad Kingdom (I think it's an old Nintendo game) and I thought the name was perfect because this face is from the princess assortment from PKS! P.S. my tomato is WAY cuter than the video game version!  I think you will agree!

*By the way I went to Walmart today and all their Lite Carts were on clearance for $15! My BFF Jennifer and I had a small shopping spree :) I finally got Block Party which I am using today.

This card will be entered into the following challenge:
Let's Face it Friday: So Punny at Peachy Keen Stamps.
K. Andrew: Simply Sunday Food For Thought Challenge.
Anything Goes Challenge #100 at Paper Cutz Challenge.

I think Princess Tomato was able to make a business selling some ketchup:

I am nuts about this little face! I colored her eyes with white gel pen and added glossy accents to her eyes and lips.  Her cheeks are accented with pink chalk and freckles.

The sentiment is embossed with SU! Whisper White embossing powder.  I just got this embossing powder and an embossing buddy, and the difference it made was AMAZING! This is a small sentiment and it embossed beautifully! (No I don't sell SU! stuff :) But I was completely impressed with how clean the sentiment came out so I highly recommend it.) I then dry embossed the background with the Swiss Dots folder.

I finished off the card by adding some stitching and a small twine bow in Honeydew

Carts:
Block Party: Ketchup bottle cut at 3.36 tall.
Elegant Edges: Card base welded from a stamp shape cut at 4.22 tall.
Cricut Classic Font: Squares stretched to fit inside the card base.  One cut at 2.87W X3.77 H and a smaller one at 2.58W X 3.52 H.
SU!: Crumb Cake and Whisper White cardstock and Whisper White embossing powder
Recollections: Green, black, and red cardstock
Twinery: Honeydew Twine
Embossing Folder: Swiss Dots
K. Andrew: Sentiment from "Food for Thought" I curved the sentiment around my image.

  4. So cute!!! ^_^ I can't wait to do that challenge, except for the fact that I don't have any punny sayings. I'll have to get on that. So did you heat emboss and then run it through the big shot? It looks good.
